UTEP Moves Up at C-USA Championship

The UTEP men's golf team rose one spot in the team standings from 10th to ninth on day two of the Conference USA Championship on Monday in Texarkana, Ark. The tournament's final round will be played on Tuesday. The Miners have a two-day total of 591 with rounds of 297 and 294. Memphis leads the 11-team field (277-291-568), with Houston (282-290-572), Southern Miss (286-288-574) and UAB (283-291-574) in close pursuit. UAB's Zach Sucher leads all individuals with a six-under-par 134 (68-66). UTEP's Roger Sloan is tied for 12th place (74-70-144), Herbert Day is tied for 33rd place (73-76-149), Josh Taylor is tied for 41st place (78-72-150), Chad Keohane is tied for 47th place (76-76-152) and Zac Hildenbrand is in 49th place (74-79-153).
