2007 SPRING NOTES: Recorded four tackles and two pass break-ups in UTEP's final spring scrimmage ... heads into the fall slated to start at SAM linebacker. 2006 (JUNIOR): Started seven games at SAM linebacker, while playing in 11 contests overall ... ranked second among linebackers with 58 tackles, including five for losses ... also had one interception, three pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries and a blocked kick ... recorded a career-high nine tackles in three games (at New Mexico, New Mexico State, Rice) ... eight tackles, including six solo stops, with two tackles for losses at Tulsa ... six tackles versus Texas Tech and Tulane ... five stops at Houston ... recovered fumbles against NMSU and Tulsa ... picked off a pass versus the Aggies ... blocked a punt against Rice. 2005 (SOPHOMORE): Moved to linebacker at midseason after shifting from wide receiver to defensive back in the spring ... played in all 12 games as a reserve and on special teams ... picked up 16 tackles (eight solo), including a half tackle for loss (one yard) ... six of his tackles came on kickoff coverage ... season-best five tackles against Texas Southern ... four tackles (two solo) versus Marshall ... half tackle for loss against UAB ... also had single tackles versus New Mexico State, Houston, Tulane, Rice, Tulsa and SMU. 2004 (FRESHMAN): Did not see action as a wide receiver. 2003: Redshirted.
