2008: Will miss the season after suffering a torn ACL in spring drills.

2007 (SOPHOMORE): Honorable mention All-Conference USA by the coaches ... led the Miners and tied for 41st nationally, averaging 9.3 tackles per game ... credited with 112 stops (80 solo) in 12 games ... added 3.5 tackles for losses (-25 yards), two sacks (-22 yards), three interceptions (42 yards), five pass break-ups and two quarterback pressures ... started the last nine games of the season ... rated sixth in Conference USA in tackles per game ... had double-digit stops in six games, including a career-high 16 (13 solo) at Texas Tech ... credited with 13 tackles at Tulane, and 10 on four occasions (New Mexico, at New Mexico State, East Carolina, Houston) ... had sacks at New Mexico State and at UCF ... picked off passes versus Tulsa, East Carolina and Southern Miss, including a season-long 28-yard return against the Golden Eagles ... broke up a pair of passes at Rice.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Honorable mention All-State choice by the coaches' association and the Associated Press as a senior at Richmond High School ... other senior honors included Houston Area MVP, District 24-4A Defensive MVP and team MVP ... registered 93 tackles and four interceptions (three for TDs) in 2004 ... also caught 20 passes totaling 429 yards and four scores on offense ... started at free safety and wide receiver, and played outside linebacker as a sophomore ... picked All-District and All-Area as a junior ... three-year varsity letterwinner for coach Mark Wiatrek.
