2007 (SOPHOMORE): Honorable mention All-Conference USA by the coaches ... started all 12 games at left tackle for a Miner offense that rated 25th nationally in passing offense (275.2 ypg), 28th in scoring offense (33.6 ppg), 35th in passing efficiency (134.95) and 37th in total offense (422.8 ypg) ... UTEP also averaged 147.7 yards rushing, a considerable improvement from 2006 when the Miners gained only 57.6 yards per contest on the ground ... the Miners tied the school record by scoring 40 points or more on five occasions in 2007 ... that record hadn't been equaled since first being set in 1950 ... the Miners compiled a school record 5,074 yards of offense in 2007 ... Marcus Thomas ran for 1,166 yards and tied the school standard with seven 100-yard rushing games ...
