Sophomore Arnett Moultrie averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in leading UTEP to a couple of wins last week earning his first Miner of the Week award this season.

The Miners are 3-0 for the first time in five years. Moultrie shot 65.4 percent from the field for the week, hitting 17-of-26 shots. The 6-11 forward either set or tied personal bests in five statistical categories over the course of the week - points (25 versus Arkansas State), field goals made (11 versus ASU), field goals attempted (16 versus ASU), assists (5 versus ASU) and steals (4 versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff). He tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, four steals, an assist and a block in UTEP's 70-52 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday. He followed that up by scoring a career-high 25 points on 11-for-16 shooting as the Miners routed Arkansas State, 82-56, on Saturday. Moultrie also contributed six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and three steals versus the Red Wolves.
